Majlis penyampaian Anugerah Golden Globes telahpun berlangsung pada minggu ini. Disebabkan pandemik, majlis tersebut dijalankan secara tertutup tanpa kehadiran selebiriti dan ianya juga tidak disiarkan di televisyen. Selain itu, kontroversi rasuah dan kekurangan kepelbagaian dalam Persatuan Akhbar Asing Hollywood turut memberi kesan pada upacara yang berlangsung baru-baru ini.

Edisi kali ini merupakan edisi yang cukup gemilang buat Netflix dengan kemenangan besar filem The Power of the Dog dan tick, tick… BOOM! yang diterajui Andrew Garfield. Lebih manis, Garfield turut membawa pulang trofi bagi kategori Persembahan Terbaik oleh Pelakon dalam Filem, Komedi atau Muzikal
Dune, No Time to Die dan Encanto turut mendapat beberapa kemenangan yang hebat, tetapi malang buat WandaVision yang gagal membawa pulang trofi walaupun Elizabeth Olsen dan Paul Bettany dicalonkan dalam beberapa kategori.
Sementara itu, bintangi Squid Game, O Yeong-su telah mencipta sejarah buat industri filem Korea apabila menjadi pelakon Korea Selatan Pertama yang memenangi anugerah Golden Globes. Yeong-su membawa pulang trofi Pelakon Pembantu Lelaki Terbaik di bahagian Televisyen untuk peranannya sebagai Oh Il Nam dalam siri asal Netflix Squid Game.
