DC Entertainment telah mengumumkan yang mereka akan menghasilkan sebuah siri televisyen salah satu karakter popular komik DC iaitu Swamp Thing. Pengumuman tersebut dibuat sejurus selepas Warner Bros. melancarkan platform digital DC yang diberi nama DC Universe.
Pengarah filemĀ Aquanman,Ā James Wan akan bertindak selaku penerbit dan siri televisyen itu dijangka akan mula ditayangkan di platform digital pada tahun hadapan.

The drama follows what happens when CDC researcher Abby Arcane returns to her childhood home of Houma, Louisiana, in order to investigate a deadly swamp-borne virus. There, she develops a surprising bond with scientist Alec Holland ā only to have him tragically taken from her. But as powerful forces descend on Houma, intent on exploiting the swampās mysterious properties for their own purposes, Abby will discover that the swamp holds mystical secrets, both horrifying and wondrous ā and the potential love of her life may not be dead after all.
Mark Verheiden danĀ Gary Dauberman akan bersama-sama menulis dan menjadi pengarah untuk siri televisyen tersebut.
SelainĀ Swamp Thing,Ā DC Universe turut menampilkan beberapa siri televisyen yang lain sepertiĀ TitansĀ yang juga merupakan siri ‘live action’ dan siri animasiĀ Young Justice: OutsidersĀ danĀ Harley Quinn.
